Where are you located?

I am currently taking the trip of a lifetime around Australia with my little family. I have clients all over Australia. With cloud based technology, electronic document storage and transfer options and electronic signing programs, we are well equipped to help you no matter where you are located. Modern communication means online meetings and facilities to enable us to logon to your computer and help you are common practice.

How much do you charge?

I offer full fixed fee proposals before we commence your work. Where we discuss your needs and requirements and tailor a plan to suit you, within your budget.

With plans for ‘red tape’ compliance only services, right through to Management Accounting plans with quarterly business meetings to help you meet your business goals.

This also means there are no surprise bills throughout the year for queries and you have full access to your accountant.

Fixed fee proposals are paid quarterly to help with your cash flow. With the final bill invoiced only after all work is completed.

Are you able to work with my software.

We are Xero Certified partners and use Xero in our practice as well as a number of Xero integrated apps to help you save time and money in your business.

However, whether you use Xero, MYOB or Quickbooks – we can work with you.

Our staff are able to extract your data, and/or work with your software.

I am looking to move my accounting software to xero, can you help?

Yes! Our accountants are Xero Migration certified and therefore know the most efficient way of transferring your data across to Xero. We also offer in house training on Xero specifically tailored to how your business will use Xero.

We offer full transfer, initial training and phone support, starting at $440 (inc GST). This ensures that you are not on your own learning a new software, we are with you every step of the way.

How much do you charge for an individual return?

Our individual returns start at $132 (inc GST). This price is for payment summary clients only. Additional schedules including capital gains, rental & business schedules will incur additional charges.

We are happy to discuss your return and provide you with an estimate.

Can I have your fee deducted from my tax refund?

Unfortunately no. We do not hold money on behalf of clients, we ensure your whole refund is paid to you directly from the ATO. This reduces the time it takes for you to receive your refund.

Do you come to me?

I am currently only taking online appointments. Appointments are always required, can be done over the phone or a video meeting.

Who will I deal with?

We are a small accounting firm, so you will always be dealing with the same accountant. You will have full access and contact with the experienced accountant who works on your file.

Am I able to do my return over the phone or internet?

Yes! If you would like a phone or skype conference to go through your work please let us know. We are also able to accept a summary of your receipts sent through rather than each individual receipt. Please contact us for more information on how this would work for your business.

How long do I keep my tax records?

If you are an individual tax payer, you need to keep your records for 5 years. However if you operate a business, you will need to keep your records for 7 years.

When is my tax return due?

If you are an individual or small business tax payer, your tax returns are due to be lodged by the 15 May following year end. For larger taxpayers, tax returns are due to be lodged by 31 March following year end.

When is my bas due?

For quarterly BAS, generally the 28th day after the quarter end. However, if you lodge through Diamond Innovation Accounting you are automatically given a four week extension. Monthly BAS are due the 21st day after the month end.
